Jody Founder

Jody is founder and also an instructor at Fusion. She is a homeschool mom of four and has been homeschooling since 2009. Her passion is providing a safe, fun, and engaging learning environment where homeschool families can make friends that just might feel like family!

Amy
Amy
Amy Sexton is a mom of 4. After completing a BA in Elementary Education with minors in mathematics, French and Russian and a MA in Library and Information Science, she moved to Florida from Iowa with her husband and daughter in 1998. She’s been homeschooling since 2002 and teaches part-time for IMACS since 2014. In her spare time she reads copiously, leads a homeschool support group and volunteers as a breastfeeding counselor and at church. Over the years she’s helped in small ways with various homeschool co-ops.

Isabelle De Souza is originally from Brazil, but currently lives in Boca Raton with her family. She currently attends Southeastern University and is set to graduate Spring 2022. She is a music director at VOUS Church in Miami, and has been teaching/coaching kids since 2016. She loves music and loves teaching piano, guitar, voice, drums, ukulele. “I’m very excited to teach ukulele to the little ones! My heart gets so full when I see them going from not knowing the strings to playing a full song. They get happy and excited and it makes teaching all the more enjoyable”

Mattea
Mattea Foy is originally from Australia and spent her childhood traveling around the world on a motorbike and sidecar. She was homeschooled during her travels as well as when she first came to the United States at 12 years old. She graduated from high school in Palm Beach county and earned her bachelor’s in Education from the University of West Georgia. She taught Pre-K until she started homeschooling in 2018. She lives with her husband, two daughters, and all their pets. She enjoys all things art, reading, organizing, and teaching.

Nicole Duclos moved from her hometown, Worcester, MA with her husband to the WPB area over twelve years ago. Now they live in Lake Worth with their two kids, Trudy and Corrina, and two old puppies. She enjoys spending time with family, camping, live music, painting, seeing new places, cooking and grilling by the pool. She taught preschool, fourth grade, and visual arts (preschool-8th grade) at St. Ann School in West Palm Beach for several years before staying home to raise and home school her children. Her Florida teaching certificate includes Elementary Education, Art (K-12), and ESE. “It is impossible for me to separate art from science. I love sharing the process behind creating visual effects and the joy it creates.”

Andréa Gross is originally from Brazil but has been in this great country since 2001. She resides in Palm Beach County with her husband and two kids, Conner and Parker. She loves Disney, dancing, reading, cooking, baking and all things house related! She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management and enjoyed her internship experience at Walt Disney World, Wilderness Lodge, where she met her husband. She looks forward to bringing her travel adventures, culture, and dancing, to our classrooms!

Tashaune is a Florida native with Jamaican roots and has lived here most of her life.
Graduating Pennsylvania State University with a B.A. in Advertising and Marketing was the beginning of her merging her right and left brains. A lover of everything creative, but also an analytical brain, Tashaune is always seeking ways to teach both the love of math but also seeing creativity outside the box. Leaving the fast paced and crazy world of advertising, she now focuses all her creativity into her home and children. She loves projects that teach utilizing unused or the different and wholeheartedly believes that one man’s trash is another man’s treasure with a little ingenuity. Tashaune not only loves math, but has a heart that wants kids to learn to love it too.

Tinah Mejia is a mom of 3. Has a BA in French and a minor in Art. Moved to the United States from Haiti in 1996, where she attended a French private school before completing her education in the U.S. She is fluent in French and creole. She has been homeschooling since 2013. In her spare time she co-leads a homeschool support group. She loves dogs, cooking and baking cakes. She taught French and art over the years in co-op settings and privately.

Sara Moisen is originally from Long Island NY and is a mom of two boys. She has been homeschooling for seven years and actively leads classes, organizes field trips, and social events in the homeschool community. She has an Associates in Education from Palm Beach State. She previously was an art specialist, an after-school counselor, a preschool teacher, and taught dance for the last twelve years. She recently began focusing on her love for the visual arts in and looks forward to bringing her passion and creativity to the Fusion family.
Jennifer

Jennifer Macaulay’s a homeschooling mom of 3 with an undergraduate in Business Marketing and a Masters in Elementary Education. She is also 200 hr yoga teacher certified and is a Reiki Master and teacher. She has traveled and worked in over 20 countries, including teaching in the United Arab Emirates public school system, where she met her husband as well as the Philadelphia public school system. She also runs the design and marking side of her family custom carpentry business and is a budding curriculum writer for online metaphysical classes for kids.

Belkis has a Masters Degree in Education and Sociology. She has taught all grades at several schools in Palm Beach county for 13 years. She has three adult children that were homeschooled throughout, with the youngest graduating in May 2023. They are now in law enforcement, firefighting and medical school. She is eager to help students get excited about learning.

Erin Hayes-Tejeda spent a decade in law enforcement and graduated with a Bachelor’s of Public Safety Administration. After starting a family, Erin refocused her energy on building a family business. She and her husband now run a busy food truck and catering company while raising their four children including 1 year old twins! Her homeschooling journey began in 2017 with a concentration on creative writing and building character through written word. Erin enjoys all things poetry, reading, holidays and food!

Ernesto Montoya resides in Wellington FL. with his wife and kids. He is a work-from-home/homeschool dad of 3 boys. He volunteers his time coaching soccer where he encourages children to grow in a nurturing and fun way. He promotes a love of learning through play and flexibility to meet children where they are and help them flourish.
